New York – Varick Immigration Court to Host Live Model Hearing Program Event

SUMMARY: The Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR) invites interested stakeholders to participate in its live Model Hearing Program (MHP) event on Sept. 30, 2024. The event will be held in person at the New York – Varick Immigration Court, and it will also be offered via Webex. This live MHP event will provide substantive law training pertaining to Asylum, Withholding of Removal, protection under the Convention Against Torture, and human trafficking.

Location: In person at the New York – Varick Immigration Court and live via Webex
Registration: To RSVP to attend in-person, please email EngagewithEOIR@usdoj.gov. Due to space constraints, in-person attendance will be limited to the first 20 individuals who RSVP. To attend virtually, please use the registration webpage. Download the event flyer here.

The MHP initiative is part of EOIR’s commitment to improving transparency and access to information” and promoting the effective and efficient administration of justice. The MHP consists of three elements: (1) live MHP events; (2) recorded model hearings and substantive law seminars available on-demand; and (3) pro bono resources available through the Immigration Court Online Resource (ICOR).
