VAAP Supports S.44 to pass Senate

On March 11, VAAP joined ACLU VT in sharing expertise with the Senate Judiciary Committee which advanced the bill to the Senate Floor and onto the House. VAAP applauds the bill’s advancement as a next step toward insulation from Vermont-DHS entanglement but encourages the State House to continue exploring opportunities to protect Vermont resources from federal exploitation and make clear to vulnerable Vermonters that it is safe to access emergency services when they need them.
